ATAK! EXHIBITION , Museum of Japan Art and Technology "Manggha"
Kraków, Poland

The exhibition exploits various means of artistic expression in an interdisciplinary manner, combining fashion and visual arts. The black-and-white stylistics of Katarzyna Widmańska’s photography and her moving depictions of fighting female warriors were inspired directly by the Japanese anime aesthetics. The photographs are accompanied by art kimonos designed by Joanna Hawrot with series of prints created by Amadeusz Wróbel, and an expressive fashion film made by the REDЯUM IMAGE duo, illustrating the struggle or clash of opposing energies.
